Hi everyone!
First off, I'm not exactly new here--I found my way onto these boards a while back because I was interested in the ideas of size acceptance, but as a smallish person who lost weight to get here this particular board just didn't seem like the right fit in terms of joining the community and posting. So I kind of lurked in the background just to read threads on accepting people at any size that were interesting to me.
Anyway, as an avid weight lifter I've found www.stumptuous.com to be an excellent resource as the webmistress is smart, funny, and very knowledgable about free weights which is an area that I've recently become interested in myself. (I've thrown of the shackles of weight machines hurrah!)
But the article that I think some people might find interesting and topical is part 4 of a 4 part series on body fat. I think her insight is very smart, and even handed, and she deals with the topic very articulately.

(The entire article--website even--is very smart and an excellent read, but I found this article in particular, as it deals with fat and society's perception of it, to be something this community might be interested in. )
