Two weeks until the election, and some of the guidelines I posted two weeks ago are being ignored.
Right on schedule, with just under four weeks to go until the elections, we're ramping up the silliness.
How about a few attempts at wiping the foam off the fangs, here?
+++Enough of the thread starts pointing out a candidate saying something so galactically stupid that we all get whiplash doing double takes. The closer it gets to Nov. 6, the more likely candidates under pressure will go off and say something priceless. Everyone does it. We've been treated to several examples of late. Moving on.
+++I encourage everyone to take a moment and visit the rules and guidelines stickies at the top of the thread. It never hurts to re-read them.
+++Beginning now, let's have no more candidate-specific thread starts. We've all been well-marinated in polls, ads, articles, coffee-break discussions, and the like. Probably those of us in the States have made our decisions, and this close to the election, candidate thread starts are likely to lead to cyber bloodshed.
+++Remember that these are all just words in space. Many of us have never met each other and never will. Nobody on here is a threat to your dog. We all love our families and think we're making good choices. Let's play nice.
*And a new one: let's stop advising others to pull their heads out of their asses, or suggesting that someone else's head is up his/her own ass.
