Hi Geeky techy folks.

First of all, my nickname should be "the inquisitor"-haha

Back in June, my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2 was dropped on a subway platform and now the lens is broken. I called up their only endorsed repair shop somewhere in the depths of Illnois and it will cost starting at 175 to repair (almost the price I paid for it).

Anyway, is there anyone who buys broken cameras or should I toss the thing? I wonder if I could make any cash off a broken appliance, crazy as it sounds. It's such a shame that they make it so chintzy and it breaks on its first fall!

(I wasn't the one to break it either)
