The belly is without a doubt one of the areas of a woman’s body us FA’s tend to focus on. So I was wondering what the names are for the belly at various stages of growth. Do we have names for them or should we just make some up. The ones that first comes to my mind is the “pot belly” used to describe the belly as it just begins to poke out and look so lovely and round, but do we have a name for the belly when it begins to over hang the waistband and when it may continue its journey south. Are there names for the belly as it reaches the pelvic area, the tops of the thighs or even the knees? Are there names for the various shapes of belly, the “rolly polly” types like double belly or triple belly, spare tyre belly, cellulite belly, I could go on.

What I’m trying to ascertain or establish is that it would be great if we came up with a list of names of the various stages of development or the various shapes and forms the wonderful belly/tummy/gut, or whatever you call it comes in. I’d love to hear the names you use or even how you might describe your belly.

Lets start with “the pot”, what comes next?
