Oh she was playing the victim to the hilt. Apparently ABC wanted to fire her last November and Barbara Walters refused. The Head of ABC was very angry with her being so evasive about having WLS and thought it reflected poorly on her and the show. And Larry flat out asked her if she had had WLS and she STILL WOULD NOT SAY THE WORDS!
Larry King "Did you have WLS?"
Star "I had a medical intervention by my doctors and they saved my life."
Larry King "So you had WLS."
Star "What else could it be Larry - look at me!"
The interview was pathetic. She was all soft spoken innocent eyed and "Poor me" and saying ABC fired her. Which of course they did but apparently Barbara went to bat for her and Star shit on her by doing what she did on TV this week.
It could be just me but I don't think you want to cross Barbara Walters. Talk about burning bridges.
