I don't know why this ocurred to me.
What say for one day, we each pilfer someone's avatar? We could put copies of our own in our user profiles, so that our own avatar would still be accessible to others even after we've grabbed someone else's. Several people could end up using the same avatar for that day, and people could change throughout the day.
As an appropriate date, may I suggest:
April 1st
At the end of the day, we'll stop using the stolen avatars.
If there is a majority in the "Good Idea" camp (even a one-vote majority!), we'll go ahead.
If anyone would like not to make his or her avatar available, please let us know within this thread.
