Friends -
The Four Last Songs are, of all the world's vocal music, right at the top of my
favorites. Minnesota Public Radio is broadcasting an archived performance. You
can read about it here:
http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/programs/minnesota_orchestra/
and listen to it (if you have streaming audio.)
Click on the green box at the top of the page, selecting the 'Listen', with the
loudspeaker icon. You will have a choice of Windows at 64K or MP3 at 128K, as
shown:
Those of you living in Minnesota can probably receive it on one of the broadcast
MPR outlets.

The soprano in this performance is Soile Isokoski, Finnish, with a delicious
voice. We actually attended this performance (I wouldh't have missed it if WWIII
had broken out.)
Listen and enjoy! There will be a brief quiz at the end of the performance
(kidding!)
