Hilltop Views is a student newspaper published by the School of Humanities at St. Edwards University in Texas. Today they ran an article entitled "Fat acceptance movement deserves skepticism" in which a young author criticizes claims made by the size acceptance movement, and finally concludes, "The fact is, overeating is a choice made by a person, and the consequences are his or her own responsibility. It is not an inherent quality outside of the realms of human control. You can be your own person and be fat if you want to. But people reserve the right to judge you, and that is your weight to carry."
It's really sad that even young people today are already so biased, buying into the "war on obesity" and all the other boilerplate prejudices against fat people.
