This article was buried in our local paper today but I found it interesting and wanted to share it with everyone. Here's what it said:

Eating all your fruits and vegetables is good for you, but it probably won't significantly reduce your chances of getting cancer.

In 1991, the National Cancer Institute started recommending people eat five servings of fruits and veggies per day to stave off cancer.

But according to a study published Tuesday in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, those claims have been widely exaggerated and based mostly on case studies, which can be quite biased.

The study looks at more than 500,000 people in 10 European countries. It found that eating an extra two servings of fruits and veggies per day only reduced the overall risk of cancer by 4%, and this applied mostly to women.

End of Article

And you know, I know at least 30 people who have died from cancer, many of them young, and not one of them was fat! Not one! Isn't it amazing...you'd think the way the so called experts talk that anyone who is overweight is going to get cancer for sure.

Anyway, thought this was an interesting article. Hope you find it useful.
