Last week, a friend mentioned tantric sexuality and asked if I ever practiced. I said I really have no idea what the hell it is. We were partying and something else grabbed our attention, so he didn't elaborate and I completely forgot about it until the bestie mentioned it last night. He said someone was telling him about it recently, but he still had no idea what it was. So we googled and came across a Wiki article. Well, it had a lot of big words and all sorts of links to pages with more big words, and we couldn't really find a definition.
I asked another friend about it last night and he said he actually studied with a tantra teacher for about a year and he learned a ton about it. He's a very wordy person (he's a journalist!) so even after he went on and on about it for 15 minutes... Im still clueless. He said it was like the opposite of yoga- focusing more on keeping energy inside and expanding your feelings?
When me and the bestie looked it up, an article mentioned something about psychic powers? We were high (of course) so we had images of getting it doggystyle and suddenly having visions about major world disasters.
Has anyone here dealt with tantric sex? Anyone currently practicing? Good experiences? Bad ones? I must know!
