Next month, a new movie with Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey Jr. called "FUR: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus" comes out. It's directed by Steven Shainberg of "Secretary" fame. To make a very long story short: It's about Diane Arbus and her evolution as a photographer and how she came to take pictures of those out on the fringes of life.
I am one of those subjects.
Like something out of Big Fish, I'm in a stew of carnival sideshow characters and I play (well, honestly , what ELSE could I play) but the Fat Lady; but much more active in the sense that I'm a large exotic dancer. Ok, a VERY LARGE dancer at that. Groovy late 50's dress and the whole kit and kaboodle.
Anyhow, keep an eye out on it. November 8th.
