This is the place to share what you had for dinner. Tease us, tempt us, give us ideas for future dinners of our own. And when you can, post pics of your meal!

I'll go first (but sadly, didn't think of starting this thread till I was finished, so no pics from me tonite) :(

Burgers Au Poivre served with roasted vegetables

I made the most delicious burgers - really good quality Angus beef, that I made into patties. Then I made a coating mixture of: Fresh cracked black pepper, Lawry's seasoned pepper, ground white pepper, lemon pepper, Jane's crazy mixed up pepper, oregano, garlic powder and just a bit of very fine searing flour, to help it form a crust.

I pressed the coating into the beef and heated a bit of oil in the pan till it was smoking. Then, in go the patties. I let them get kinda crispy on the bottom, and then turned and cooked on the other side. Because of the "burn" of all that yummy pepper, I topped them with a spoonful of a really tasty asiago cheese spread, which softened, but didnt melt all over them (I wanted the cheese to be warm, but intact so we could use it to dip the burgers in.)

My roomie made roasted asparagus, green beans and sweet red peppers. She drizzled olive oil and pepper (more pepper?? lol) and garlic.

This dinner made me SMILE! It came out great!

For dessert we have a strawberry whipped cream shortcake!

So...what did you have for dinner?
