In a recent-ish post in a recent-ish thread, someone brought up the point (again) that there seems to be an aura of hostility towards those who "are not actively trying to maintain their current weight or are not gaining."

However, I'm pretty sure I've never seen any non-FA, male or female, being this up, so what I'm saying is there is a conflict of interest here. It seems, from what I've been reading/inferring from posting going in here is that FAs are disinterested/apathetic towards the size-acceptance movement.

Essentially, being a FA is such a sexuality-centric thing that, for many FAs, there doesn't seem to be any chance of it connecting with the greater social cause that is the size-acceptance movement.

Now, I know there are some FAs here who are a great exception to this rule, and this is likely just a problem that is exacerbated by the prevalence of closet/new/"unskilled" FAs who mainly post in the Weight Board and Paysite Boards, but I want to gauge the community on this issue.

Do (you) FAs here genuinely care about the size-acceptance movement, and what it stands for?

Have (you) BBWs had experiences with FAs exhibiting this kind of attitude (disinterest and/or apathy) towards the movement?

I just had to post this after seeing the post mentioned in the first paragraph...it just kinda struck me as an injustice of sorts that needed pointed out and discussed.
