I admit to being a food snob. When I passed the flour and sugar in the supermarket, I used to turn up my nose at the packaged instant gravy mixes. After all, gravy's just butter, flour, and milk; what's so hard about that? But when I made gravy from scratch, it was never ENOUGH. My wife, who firmly believes gravy is one of the four basic food groups (along with coffee, ramen, and Little Debbie snack cakes) was disappointed but tried not to show it. And then one day SHE made the gravy -- from a mix -- and it was both plentiful and good. And it did not develop lumps! I converted.
So what's your position on gravy? Do you adore it, or do you try to avoid it? And if the former, what kind do you like? This is a thread for everything gravious!
