Tad
Dimensions' loiterer
I hope none of you had big american vacations planned! Amongst all the other market news I'd missed how far the loonie had fallen until earlier this week, but its continuing to drop: http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2008/10/10/loonie.html
I think the cheap car prices will be done for, and this will keep gas and heating oil from dropping as much as you'd think from the falling oil prices. And it makes going state-side a lot more dear.
On the plus side, it makes Canada a lot cheaper for American visitors. Which is generally good for the tourism industry, assuming that anyone has money left to be a tourist.
But enough for the generalities, what I was really thinking was: Somebody needs to arrange a BBW/BHM/FA/FFA bash on this side of the border, and invite all the American Dimmers to it OK, our gasoline is still not cheap, but think about how much more affordable restaurants and hotels are with $1.15 greenbacks!
