Ok, here's an idea that struck me while I was reading an ethnography about race relations in Brazil.
Basically, the essential idea is that, I will start out with a sentence, maybe a classic example of a Western "story-starter" (like "Once a upon a time" or something in that particular vein"). The next poster will then contribute a line, building on what the previous line has said.
Here's the catch: try to make it ONLY build on the PREVIOUS line, and not the developments that preceeded it. It's more silly that way, and can never come to a good conclusion if the story started out with Bill walking to the grocery store, and mutant fungi-covered-asthmatic wildebeasts take over the Dutch parliament becomes a logical development, just based on the previous line. Give it a whirl!
I'll start:
Jim was on his way to Wegmans early Monday morning, basking in the colorful sunrise.
