i love all of the positions people take here on dims and i love learning different points of view. but sometimes we all go a bit too far with our personal opinions when we are just trying to learn about something. i was thinking that we could have this thread to ask questions about touchy subjects and not allow personal opinion to seep in. i was thinking it could be an information only thread about any subject. this does not mean at all that people's personal opinions are invalid etc... but what it would mean is that if a poster wanted to rant about something on either side they would have to do it somewhere else. lets try to keep it adult, open, and above board.
the first question i have is about immobility. i'd like to hear from people who are into it both male and female. i'd like to hear about what they like about it since we have tons of opinions about why people don't or shouldn't like it. what has made it possible for you to engage in it since there might be logistical problems? what problems has it solved for you?
i do recognize too that there is a whole class of people who are immobile already, and perhaps not by choice. how would or does an interest in mobility figure into the life of someone who is already immobile? has it been beneficial to you to have a partner who is fine or even happy about your immobility? has a partner like that been easy to find?
