Wowzy wowzy. Anyone catch the American Music Awards tonight (Sunday)? The opening act was Janet Jackson. Needless to say her body has greatly improved in curves and fullness, especially in the trunk department. I mean, what a kaboose she possesses. Lord have mercy! Her brother Michael called her "Donkey" because of her abundant bum, but a more fitting nickname should have been "Oh Full, Brown, Beautiful Apple-shaped Orbiculation Sent From Heaven". And her face looks just fantastic! Cheekbones like that weren't meant to be on a bony face. Needless to say all of tomorrow's blog will comment negatively about her weight--regardless of the fact half of the entertainment gossip bloggers are chubby gay men themselves.
And now the down side of her performance. Her vocal delivery was as horrible as its always been. That's no new news. But what is news is her dance moves were equally stale. Damn-near non-existent. Without a doubt she moved like a lethargic middle-aged woman that just got out of bed. Not a damn thing wrong with moving like a middle-aged woman unless your success depends on your ability to move like a spry young cat. Madonna and Michael could have told you that. I just don't think Janet has garnered enough smash hits or displayed enough raw talent to constantly be allowed to keep making come-backs. It's like making Samantha Fox a singing legend worthy of a couple come-backs.
