There is been discussion that evolution is a theory that is full of holes.
The theory of gravity is full of holes. Newton stated something to the effect that "Every object in the universe attracts every other object in the universe directly in proportion to its mass and inversely in proportion to the square the distance between them."
This is supposed to be caused by gravity and yet no one has ever explained what gravity is. There is talk of distortions in the space time continuum. What does that mean?
There is talk of gravitons and yet, after years and years of trying to find them, no one has ever found gravitons. No one has ever been able to decisively answer the question of whether or not gravity travels at the speed of light, or instantaneously, or at some other speed.
And yet, if a child should ask a parent if it is safe to jump off the roof of the house the parent is unlikely to explain that gravity is only a theory which has never been proven and therefore the child should make up their own mind as to whether or not jumping off a roof the house will let gravity pull him or her into the ground where he or she will be injured or possibly the child will simply float around in the air until such time as they decide to come in for supper.
