Anyone seen this reality show yet? I'm particularly interested because I found the two Coreys a guilty pleasure back in the 1980s (I'm so embarrassed by that admission that I feel like beating my own self up!).
Don't know who the Two Coreys are? I'm sure you'd recognize them. Corey Haim and Corey Feldman of course. Seperately they had decent careers as kid actors, and together as a juvenile dynamic duo they starred in a handfull of their own movies. "Lost Boys"..."License to Drive"..."Dream a Little Dream"...1980s teeny bopper stuff. Of course I could NEVER admit to anyone that I spent even a minute of my time looking at their movies--even though "Lost Boys" is a flick EVERYone loves.
Anyway, they now have their own reality show in which washed-up ex kid star and former druggy Corey Haim comes to crash in the home of his long-time buddy Corey Feldman and his wife Susan. It's fascinating to see how stable Feldman is and how much of an a-hole Haim is. Since they both still act like kids it makes perfect sense Feldman married a woman 10 years younger than him.
In a recent interview Feldman revealed the show isn't completely a reality show since they decide before the cameras roll what each episode should be about. I've always sensed that sudden arguments on these reality shows are completely staged for the sake of ratings since none of the people that blow their tops and start swingin' and screamin' ever look at the camera and holler for them to turn it off. They don't even bang into the camera when they lose their cool! Very odd.
Anyway, staged or not it's fun and bizarre to see those two cute kids suddenly become adults in their mid 30s--but still acting like kids!!
And here you were thinking I spent my spare time watching the History Channel.
As ever,
Les
