Ok, so the world is running out of oil in about 60 odds years and reliable coal in about 130 years at the present rates of consumption.

This isn't about climate change, but purely about the economics of resource and energy shortages.

So, given this situation, with current available or imminently available technology (such as stuff under development), what are the answers, and are they practical? For example, around 40% of the world electrical generator comes from coal. Is there a practical solution that reduces that percentage, is feasible to build and maintain?
