ont he what are you reading thread i mentioned that i was reading good in bed by jennifer weiner. i have to tell you that this book hits home so hard sometimes i could cry. what i have read so far is that this heavy woman breaks off a three year relationship with a man she doesnt feel is right for her. then one morning she gets a call from a friend that the guy wrote a magazine article called good in bed based on his experience loving a "larger woman" there was her relationship with him right there in print- the story goes on about her going to a weight loss doctor, deals with her lesbian mother, and life in general- but what got to me was the way she talks about her father- how abusive he was emotionally and verbally and then his leaving the house, getting remarried having children with the new wife - she has a revelation that he actually did want children just not her and her siblings- 
and it just goes on. it was so heartbreaking because my father also abandoned us. so all those emotions come back up. oh it is just heartbreaking- i had to put it down for a bit to regroup.
