My parents headed out to New Orleans this week to attend some of my father's business meetings. Now my mom and dad live in diff.states due to his job, etc.. They have vacationed rarely since the kids left the nest.
I got a call this afternoon from dad yelling into the phone over the blues band and bar background noise. He said I'm drinking a beer, your mom has a hurricane and we are having a damn good time. I haven't heard either one of them laughing and cutting up like that in years. It was really wonderful to hear.
They took their senior trip to NO in 66' together,began dating during that trip, and married shortly after. I just thought it was the sweetest that they are reconnecting and having such fun. It was a had to share moment. lol
