I wanted to let folks know about a new organization I am volunteering with. It's called Tip of the Arrow [http://www.tipofthearrow.net]. The goal is to help U.S. veterans of the Global War on Terror as they transition to civilian work life. Some of the folks we help returned healthy, and some returned wounded. As soon as I heard about it, I signed up to be a counselor. I have been assigned some folks returning from theater and will help them assess their skills, prepare a resume, know how to speak/act on an interview, ... .
I know there are a lot of people trying to find jobs. The military sometimes have the added problem of figuring out how to translate their military skills into marketable experience.
Now a shameless plea- If you know of anyone with a business that would like to help out our returning heroes, have them go to the web site and contact the founders.
