Just to give you all some background, I am very new to this site. Like today new. I was introduced to this site through a friend, a friend that has helped me through a lot of rough times. Now that I have overcome these issues, I have a few things on my mind that I would like to get of my chest.
I am a new person today. I love myself for who I am, and I can actually look in the mirror and think positive things. The only thing that I am struggling with right now is grasping the concept that my 'friend' truly does think I am beautiful. I read a post of someone asking how to make a female believe they are attractive, well while that is important, it is also important not to overlook that fat girls are more than JUST fat.
Coming from someone who knows, be careful not to make someone feel like their weight or their looks are the ONLY reason you like them. I am kind of trying to figure this one guy out right now. He never misses a chance to tell me how beautiful I am, and how much he truly does love my body, but I am terrified that that is the only reason. He works really hard to embrace my insecurites and he does a really good job. However, once you get to the point where you love yourself, then you realize 'Hey I am more than just a pretty face.' Ah. It's complicated but I am sure SOMEONE out there understands. It is just REALLY weird for someone like me to have to say "Don't love me because you think I'm hot, love me for me!!" Haha, I bet you don't hear a fat kid say that too often now do you?? I would love feedback!
