Did anyone else watch the episode of Cold Case tonight?
I love that show and watch it every week but tonights episode really bugged me.
In case you didn't see it, it was about a good looking guy who met women (read: fat, pathetic women who no one else wanted apparently) through a dating service and then swindled them out of everything they had. But one woman he met was so desperate to hold on to him that she began working with him and eventually killing the women he met so that they could get all of their money, etc.
The woman who was helping him swindle and kill the other women was pathetic. She was so desperate because she was fat and no one else wanted her (not my words, it was implied) that she would do anything to keep him. And the other women on the show weren't much better.
They were portrayed as desperate just because they were fat and supposedly couldn't get anyone else. They wanted him so badly because he was the only one paying them any attention.
I kept thinking that, yes, the attention, etc. was nice but once you found out what a jerk he was why would you still want him?
And where are the attractive fat women? They were all frizzy haired and frumpy with huge glasses, etc. As if they couldn't find one attractive fat woman. I kept thinking to myself "There was a whole stage full of attractive fat women on the Dr. Keith show the other day, can't we get some of them into acting and on the show?"
Ok, my rant is over. Just wanted to know if anyone else saw the episode and if it ticked them off as well.
And if you don't watch the show and like BHM there is one on there every week. The actor that plays Detective Vera is certainly that. And even though he plays a gruff character on the show I just know he has a soft heart underneath it. Hey, he was reading the romance novels that the dead fat girl left behind on tonight's show. I think I have a little crush. :wubu:
