Too fat for a pedicure?

She claims she was turned away and told she's too fat for a pedicure.

Now, a West Palm Beach woman is planning a discrimination suit against a local nail salon.

Barbara Phillips tells NewsChannel 5 an employee refused service, saying, “Your weight, your weight! You can't fit in the chair! You're too big."

Phillips says Saturday, she was turned away from Nail Expo II on Military Trail because she weighs 300 pounds.

She feels she would have fit in the pedicure chairs because she was able to sit in a similar seat at a different salon.

The manager couldn't be reached for comment but an employee tells NewsChannel 5, he tells workers to turn away customers who seem too large for the chairs.

Phillips now plans to file a discrimination suit because of the humiliation.
