I am not a particular fan of U2, but I am glad to have added the "18 Singles" CD to my music empire. A discussion of 80's-90's rock is incomplete without invoking the names Bono and the driving guitar of Dave "The Edge" Evans. It is the gradual building to the climax that makes their songs and sound unique in the annals of music. Their music I think is overshadowed by the globetrotting of Bono, but since the mid-80's they may possess the mantle of the world's top rock band....
