At the NJ Beatles convention this weekend I saw the documentary 'The 7th Python' about Neil Innes who's worked with Monty Python and did The Rutles when in the film they showed a character called Billy Bunter. Did some research on him and found that Billy Bunter has quite a history in the UK, a very popular character from 1908 to about the 1980's. There was even a British TV series on Bunter in the 1950's. There are a few websites dedicated to him and I ordered one of the Bunter books from a UK book site.
Can some of our UK friends add a little more light about Billy Bunter to us in the Colonies?
