I've only retold this story from work to a few other people, because frankly, I'm still horrified. It IS funny in what happened to me, but also angering in terms of animal abuse. For those of you who don't know, I work in a general merchandise/grocery store. We sell goldfish, and I work thirds, meaning we get all the weirdos.
There were some boys a little younger than me being loud (I'm 21), buying fish. I was keeping my eye on them. Well, after purchasing the fish, one of the young men DRANK the contents of the fish bag, fish and dirty water. I was approaching them to ask them to leave. I was trying to be quiet, so I was standing pretty close, and the guy pukes all this nasty water and the fish. And it hits me. Unfortunately, the fish was still alive, but injured. I was absolutely livid, and asked them to leave immediately or I was calling the police. They did leave, thankfully.
My question: What the HELL is wrong with people? Is this kind of stupidity exclusive to here? Ugh.
