I just wanted to make a post about my new doctor really.
I made an apointment yesterday morning, got given one for 4:05pm the same day. Went to the doctors office and EVERY chair was armless (the chairs were possibly a little low but they were easy enough to get up from). After waiting for a short while I got called in to see the doctor. He was very nice. I was there to get a form signed by him giving me permission to go on a special diet. He didn't weigh me, just asked if I knew my weight and then asked kindly about it. At no point did he tell me off.
He took my blood pressure. First of all he went to put the normal cuff on me. Then he realised it wouldn't work and without another word he went to get the bigger cuff (he knew exactly where it was too). He asked when I'd last had it done. I told him about 7 months ago and the last doctor said it was a bit high. He asked if she'd used the bigger cuff and I said no. He said it was probably raised because of that and my blood pressure is 100% normal. So I've been worring for ages about nothing.
He then wished me luck on my diet and told me to go back if I needed anything.
I didn't even know there were bigger cuffs and I'm very impressed he had one, and I'm even more impressed that he wasn't all "huff huff i'll have to get you the BIG cuff".
