Banned from facebook,
I am piggy backing off MizzSnakeBites thread Dirty Laundry - Fat Addition. As most of you know, in that thread we talked about what we are afraid of. In this thread, I would like to open up discussion on how some of us solved some of these life problems. Or, how we faced our own fears and muddled thru to fight another day. I'll start with this example-

One person said he was afraid to go in the water. He was fat and if he started to drown, no one would be able to save him. My answer is the reverse is true. Fat floats easily in water. I weigh a little over 350 lbs. I can float in water like a fishing cork by remaining absolutely still. I can do this standing upright in 20 feet of water. I can float even if I raise both of my arms over my head if I draw my knees up. Being fat (and being still) is the secret. Bonus - it is easier to float in salt water than fresh water.

I have been trained in WSI (Water Safety Instructor) and Red Cross Life Saving. Rescuing a fat person is not a problem. Actually, what makes it harder to save someone is their being hysterical or throwing a screaming and fighting, psycho attack. So, try to minimize trying to kill the person trying to save you (if it ever happens). I would probably just throw you a towel and tow you in. or grab the back of your clothes or hoodie and pull you with that, or throw you a orange float like they used on Baywatch. A fat person will pull almost as easy as a piece of styrofoam.
