The great white north, eh?
I know that for much of north america it has, overall, been a mild winter. Well, it seems that because of that not many people bought new winter jackets and what not this year, and now the stores are dumping things at great prices. So if you need new winter jacket, gloves, whatever, now is the time to shop.

Saturday I picked up a quite nice hip-length down filled jacket from Eddie Bauer* for just $50--regularly $150 (all prices Canadian), and I 've seen some other really steep mark downs too. Mine was a 1X, and I think they had 2X on the rack as well, but I might be mixing up stores. Too bad they didn't have snow pants too, those are next on my list.

* I know some people get a little rabidly annoyed by the very existence of Eddie Bauer, however it seems I get a better fit there than anywhere else. So while I care not a whit for their image, I keep buying clothes from them.
