What I like about Dimensions Online:
I have enjoyed Dimensions Online for years and I was just thinking about what it is that I really like about it. I think that Dim Online is truly a vibrant and diverse community, not just a single subject SIG, or a place where a bunch of kids are talking at each other. I've seen other online groups like that, or ones that have slick interfaces with nothing interesting going on.
How many online communities have (seemingly) intelligent conversions about fluoride in drinking water on one thread, and a couple threads away, people are sitting between two books and measuring the width of their asses? I can't think of any other online community where reclining on the beach wrapped up in a blanket eating cheese quesadillas with extra sour cream and watching the waves crash would be considered romantic?
