I watched a Pizza Hut advertisement last night for their new "All Natural Pizza". It is supposed to have multi-grained crust, all natural mozarella cheese, and all natural pepperoni. As I understand the "natural" food label, it means organic. But, organic pepperoni? Isn't that stretching this whole back to nature thing a little too much?
Why do you think those little packages of pepperoni can sit out on the grocery shelves without refrigeration (before they're opened by the consumer)? It's because of the preservatives that are used to make pepperoni. It is also found in their cousins, the summer sausages.
