I was just reading the what does dims mean for you thread and it got me thinking. Why does the general population look down on being fat or consider fat so unattractive?

For almost all of human history it has been just the opposite. Being fat meant you were a person of means and/or didn't have to do manual labor like most everyone else. And is being fat the worst thing a person could be?

I've read some posts from other users about how they've been treated by family, friends, etc. and being fat is almost on par with being the antichrist with these people.
