Pleasantly abstruse.
I see a lot of hate around me. Both on the board and out in the world. I'm not talking about dislike or even distaste. Dislike and distaste are to be expected. Not everyone is going to like everything. People have preferences. No, I'm talking about searing hatred. Hate that motivates people to violence. Gay bashing. Abortion clinic bombing. Torching churches. Acts of violence and murder. Even if the hater doesn't actually do these things him/her self, hatred motivates sympathy for those who do.
People hate what they don't understand.
People hate what is different.
People hate what they don't agree with.
People hate for the sheer hell of it.
I don't get it. Hate is poisonous, and gives the thing you hate power over you. I really don't get hating someone simply because they are democrat/republican/independent/whatthefuckever. My mind is blown by all the red eyed frothing I see here and in the world at large.
