This isn't a rhetorical question, I really am curious about why this is a huge deal that should seriously concern me. Because it doesn't.
Now obviously I know that it's better to not be in debt if you can help it, but we've been in debt since the Jackson administration (180 or so years ago) and the country hasn't sunk into the ocean yet.
So tell me, why should I be especially concerned about it now?
