Winfrey Regrets 1988 Fat Stunt
By WENN | Wednesday, November 16, 2005

HOLLYWOOD - Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey regrets exhibiting a wagon-load of fat on her TV show to signify her 67- pound weight loss in 1988—because she put much of the weight back on.

The 51-year-old star, who celebrated The Oprah Winfrey Show's 20th anniversary on Nov. 15, regards the infamous episode as one of her biggest mistakes.

She says, "I had literally starved myself for four months—not a morsel of food.

"Two hours after that show I started eating to celebrate--of course, within two days those jeans no longer fit!"

This article fits right in with what seems to be a recurring theme for me right now---meeting people who think losing weight is all about self-control---the celebs do it.

The above report confirms---anyone can lose weight. It's keeping it off that becomes the issue---through the days, months and years, through life's ups and downs, tragedies and triumphs, over the holidays, job losses, deaths, sickness, relationship issues---the works. AND the danged food is in your face everywhere you look---on TV--in magazines---as you drive down the road---EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT! Millions of bucks spent on advertising to get you to eat.

But.
Do.
Not.
Get.
Fat.

Death.
Sentence.

DANGEROUS BELLY FAT
MORBIDLY OBESE

Good for Oprah for saying that, though.
