Now don't get me wrong, I've tried searching pretty extensively myself, so this could entirely be a lost cause.
But after reading a post by susieQ in another thread that matches my same frustrating situation exactly (I believe my first post about it might've been in the fall/winter must haves), I decided I had to attempt a request... at least we can keep the winter sports requests/rants/frustrations into one thread as opposed to hijacking others!
I don't know if it's because most winter sports companies simply cannot fathom a fat girl on a snowboard, but I am finding it near IMPOSSIBLE to find cute jackets (and pants) to wear on the slopes this year. It's entirely frustrating, because I've finally got my snowboarding partner (after three winters without one) and I reeeally want to get back in the scene.
I checked out a couple links to alloy and lands end, as nicely suggested by kr7 in the confessions thread -- and while the coats were definitely cute, i don't think anything on there would be able to withstand a full day of boarding.
of course, worst case scenario, i go into men's gear. while i can definitely fit into a guy's XL, XXL ... the cut is usually pretty ill-fitting and the designs are ... well, manly. plain. just blah.
so if there's one soul out there that is sitting on the jackpot link to cute snowboarding/skiing apparel... please, bless us with the answer.
