So I'm watching Jaws right now, and I just passed the part where Quint drags his nails across the chalkboard during the meeting and says he'll kill the shark. It suddenly occurred to me that Robert Shaw's performance in this movie is probably the only reason why I'm watching Jaws for the umpteenth time. He just ROCKED in this movie.
So what actors, in what roles, absolutely rock your world? It doesn't even have to be a great movie, just an over the top awesome acting job.
Here's another- I mentioned this in another thread, but Tim Curry as Pennywise the Clown in Stephen King's IT was such a ridiculous performance I thought that he not only saved an otherwise crappy movie, but he delivered a beatdown on every other actor in that film. It wasn't even close...
