Okay everyone...with September fast approaching, and my last semester of college on the horizon...in addition to my likely/inevitable graduation...I am, FINALLY, looking for the first REAL job of my adult career.
Any advice, help, thoughts, or ideas on how to find/look for/figure out how to get said job, would be helpful. Anything and everything, from mistakes made or bad ideas, to the things that won you the job.
I'm sure there are plenty of college Dimmers who are eventually going to be planning to enter into the world of jobs, competition, and money making. And like every one of them, I'll take all the advice, criticism, thoughts, and comments I can get about finding a decent job within the first month or so after graduation.
My goals for this job hunt:
-$40,000 or so a year
-Decent benefits package
My more optional/optimistic goals:
-Something I enjoy
-Something close to home
-Something in advertising, the game industry, marketing, or development
-A job that gives me a decent amount of free time (ie a 8-6, or 9-5 job that gives me some of the morning and evening free to do other things).
-A job that will eventually (if I do well enough) pay for my MBA.
So, please, any thoughts, helpful hints, and/or ideas for job hunting will be happily gobbled up and utilized![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
