Hi all,

May be travelling soon, visiting a friend in Europe, but am terrified over the seat width issue. But I suck at math. So figure out if I can fit in the seat and get the diameter, do I divide by 2 or by pi (3.14). If by pi, it would seem my butt is well within parameters, although, my stomach is a bit wider.

Went to the seat guru site, and the seat width is 18.0". My butt is around 49" in circumference, if I divide by pi, I'm good, if not, not so good.

Can anyone help me here. I called the airline to ask about this, and instead of reassuring me, they just tried to tell me I could either buy in business class or two seats. So this is really a headache, a business class ticket is nearly $6000.

What would you say is the minimum weight I need to be at 6 ft tall not to "worry" about this issue. I'm thinking about 240. This is really ridiculous, sigh. Trying to avoid a nightmare en route. Any advice would be most appreciated.
