Hi everyone! I am back in the land of the living.It has been a long journey and I am far from the end of the road where I wish to be. However, I am somewhat functioning again on a near daily basis. I am still bedridden. It seems the more weight I lose the more bedridden and immobile I become. Odd huh?
I have gotten my bed and it is making my life easier. The bed and mattress to gether did not work.I still need to find a good mattress. The bed company still has not provided me with all the items needed to make this bed really workable . It is the worst company for customer service. If anyone is getting ready to buy a hi low barriatric bed talk to me. These people advertise all over the internet and they do not ship you what they show you in their advertising. I have had to get an attorney to get my warranty issues fixed.However it is nice to be able to finally get up out of this bed without fear of falling.

More photos will be on my website.If you notice the wood underneath it that id what I am trying to get the company to fix.They claim the bed holds to 800 lbs yet I am now 550 and it does not hold firmly.It needs more steel supports in the middle to stop it from

I have in this process of getting my life together come across an item that I feel might be of help to others here. Its not a topic everyone likes to speak of but I know for others that suffer the consequences of immobility it will make their life easier. This product is good for both male or females. It is called Urassist

What it does is allow you to urinate wherever you are without worry if you can fit into a stall, find a bathroom you can fit into or or those that are bedridden or cannot make the trip to the bathroom easily it can be of great value.
It is an external catheter. Don't let the word catheter scare you. It is simply a cup you place over you when the urge to go is there and there is a tube attached to the cup and attached to a pump. When you press a button the pump goes on and sucks up the urine from the cup and into a catheter bag inside a very lightweight unit that is discretely packaged in a briefcase.It is very quiet as well. It holds quite a bit of urine so it will last you until you get to a place t empty it.
