Okay, just got back from the doctor. I destroyed my new ACL graft and I must have surgery to replace it. He is also concerned that I have rotary instability because of this new injury. Which means that he will evaluate the knee while I'm under anethesia to see if it "wobbles" side to side excessively. If it does, he will need to make an additional 6" incision on my outer knee and attach an achilles tendon (from a cadaver) in there for stability.
I am really upset by this; I knew I hurt my knee, but I was really hoping that I wouldn't have to have surgery again on it....I scheduled the surgery for next Friday.
He said I could put it off, but I will have to continue to wear the brace and I will be limited in my activity. Then I'll just be right back in the same boat I was before, constant pain etc.....
(((((((sigh))))))))) I guess March isn't the only month that's gonna suck for me!
