Cox Communications suspended my internet service last night (I got it back this morning) because they were informed of my pirating activities. Basically, I got busted by NBC Universal for sharing the flick "Greenberg" (starring Ben Stiller) on a popular p2p site. I thought I was protected using a proxy, but nope.
I'm one of those people who maybe has 50 illicitly downloaded things on my hard drive, max. Still I know it was wrong and I think I won't be filching anything else off the net nor infringing on anyone's copyrighted material for a looong time to come.
I'm guessing I probably won't be hit with some crazy suit, but it's still kind of scary.
Who else has had this experience? I know you're out there.
