This one's for anybody that either missed a show they really wanted to see, were told about a show they really wanted to see by others that went, or anybody younger whose parents got to see a particular band in their prime, years before you came along.
For me, it's the third case - my dad told me once about the night he saw Chicago, back in the early-to-mid-'70s (in their prime, before the death of guitarist Terry Kath). According to him, it was one of the only concerts he'd ever been to that sounded as good as the recordings did.
Another one would have been the night he and my mother saw the Marshall Tucker band at East Carolina, and the evening's guest was Dickey Betts.
Additionally, a true fantasy moment would have been to be in downtown London the day the Beatles performed the now-famous rooftop concert, atop the Savile Row Apple headquarters, in January of 1970.
