AJAY Rochester, the host of the TV reality show The Biggest Loser, has pleaded guilty to welfare fraud.
A lawyer acting for the television personality entered the plea on her behalf in Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney yesterday.
Rochester, 39, was charged with 23 counts of receiving the single parent payment from Centrelink when she knew she was not eligible, between December 2001 and December 2005.
Previously known as Lee Ann Towler, Rochester shot to fame as the author of such books as Confessions of a Reformed Dieter, Blubberguts and The Lazy Girl's Guide to Losing Weight and Getting Fit.
She began hosting the Channel 10 reality show The Biggest Loser in 2006.
Rochester will be sentenced on January 13.
