So, I went to see the occupational health physician on Wednesday, and he diagnosed me with tendonitis and neuropathy in both hands, wrists, and the left elbow. I most likely will have to have surgery on my left hand, and maybe the right. I am a dog and cat groomer, and he said I can't do my job until further notice. I have been waiting all day long for someone from my corporate office worker's comp department to get back to me about what I am supposed to do at work while I am on this restricted duty, which the doctor has said is to be no repetitive motion, ergo, no cashiering, grooming, etc. I also have ADA restrictions against standing all day, which the company has been very accomadating with me. So, I wouldn't be able to work out on the sales floor, as I am restricted in the ability to stand for long periods of time due to osteoarthritis in the knees. I called the company about taking short term disability, but they said that this is a worker's comp issue, and I have to have them pay for the time off. But, now my company refuses to answer my calls about this. So, what do I do now? Should I contact a worker's comp attorney? I am almost positive my store manager is going to try to deny my claim, he is a complete moron and backstabbing asshat.

Anyone have any experience with this? Any suggestions or advice? I would appreciate any help you all could throw my way

Thanks
