I was blessed with two beautiful children. My oldest is seven years old. Last year on every report card there was listed my child’s physical fitness grade with remarks on his weight , saying he needs to improve on his physical fitness. I joined a gym where my children played in a gym, did rock climbing and went swimming three days a week. I also have my son in Taekwondo which he is 2 belts away from his black belt. I feel like I am not neglecting his physical fitness ,I had his blood tested for thyroid issues which came back clear. I do my best to feed my children a well balance diet. My son is 10-12lbs over his range. With my two boys I have one who can eat what ever he wants and he is all bones... My other eats normal and holds onto every bite.

When I receive his report card I always feel like the dumbass Mom who feels like a hypocrite.
I am Fat.... my kids see that so in their eyes what’s so bad about being Fat if Mommy is?
How do I explain to my kid that they need to be healthy in the way that the pediatrician and school thinks?

Being a parent in today’s society is getting so scary because your children can be taken away now for being overweight. I have a hard time understanding how far things will go with the issue of childhood obesity.

I would love to hear if anyone has experienced this with their children or know of people who's children are graded on physical fitness?

What do you think about the issue of being FAT and raising children in a society that thinks Fat is a bad thing ????

Its a sensitive subject I know but right now I feel like I am stuck between a rock and a very hard place.
